Dragonball Evolution Trailer

Here it is, the first full trailer for the god forsaken live action Dragonball movie. From this trailer we learn that the plot is even more f***ed up than we could have previously imagined, and we see the terrible cast in terrible action, "cool."

Please join me in boycotting this movie. If you want to see it just to see how bad it is, please bootleg it. I think it is important that this movie does not make enough money to warrant a sequel, which from what I understand, has been planned.

Thanksgiving Break.

So this past week was both fun, and stressful. Spent the week with the family, having our annual big ass thanksgiving, with the table that stretches out into the next room, and about 30 seats around it. It was pretty awesome, as usual, except for the fact that there were 6 pies, and i only got 1 slice of pumpkin and 1 slice of apple, before they were all devoured. NO LEFT OVER PIE !! ALSO, we ate ALL, yes, ALL of the thanksgiving leftovers the next day. So yeah, no leftover anything.

Spent the week mostly with my cousins, we did all kinds of fun stuff, including going to the SF international auto show, in which we saw all the new and upcoming cars, up close and personal. 370z was pretty ugly, but somehow impressive. After checking out a bunch of the luxury cars, the interior of the 350z looked like the inside of a toy car, and kinda ruined it for me. From what I understand, the 370 made a vast improvement in the interior.


While the notched/split/triangular headlights were an interesting IDEA, they create a few problems .. one, is that from the front, they look kinda dumb .. and TWO is that from the side, they make the fenders look retarded. While I don't think the catfish mouth is TERRIBLE, I don't understand why it has those stupid little fangs. Hopefully there will be an upgradable exterior package, maybe a Nismo edition that will look nicer in this aspect. The door handles are a bit out of control .. and I think that compared to the rest of the car, the hood is extremely boring .. Even the current 350z has a more interesting hood, with that bulge in the middle that I've begun to grow fond of. The front front of the car retains the shape of the 350z, but the rear end of the car is a complete and total mess. I didn't even bother to take a picure of the back .. its like they were going for an old school 240z kinda look .. but got it all wrong .. it ends up making the car look similar to the z4 coupe, with a big long front end and a smooshed little rear. I did however like the fact that they flared out the fenders .. but the tail lights are pretty hideous.

Maybe I'll get used to it over time. And while I might sound harsh, I still like it .. I just don't love it. And I think it could use a lot of improvements. It is however a beast at 330 HP .. But I would seriously take the G37 over this thing any day of the week. I don't understand why they didn't make it look more like it's sister car (the G37) .. Could have made a similar headlight design, and a done something different for the tail lights .. just like the way the 350z and the G36 complemented each other .. oh well ..

The GT-R was off limits, but it looked great from a few feet away. The new mustang was still big as a boat, but it was very smooth, which was nice .. not so sure if i like the rear end yet. And speaking of boats, the challenger is a big ugly machine that looks like it belongs in the water. While I don't doubt that it is a beast of a car, i'm sure it handles like a plate of jello.

Now, as far as cars that I was interested in go .. there were a few that I checked out in great detail. As pretty as it was on the outside, the 3 series BMW didn't really do it for me on the inside .. it was kinda boring, very standard .. honestly reminded me a bit of an EVO interior, but nicer of course. On the other hand, the G37 was not only beautiful on the outside, but the interior was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS !! Wood grain, comfy leather seats, cockpit feel, dash that wrapped around both seats, everything in clear view. Now THAT is a car I could drive. One thing I didn't like so much was that, even though it was pretty big inside, I felt a bit confined and clostrophobic in the passenger seat .. but maybe I'm just meant to drive.

The NEXT beamer we got into, was the x6. I jumped into it expecting to be blown away, but alas, it was yet again a big disappointment. Very boring interior, with not a lot going on .. just seemed really standard. So we skipped along the way and got into the infiniti competitor, the new FX50 .. I have been admiring the newly redesigned exterior for a while, and I really like the new headlight design and shape of the car, there is a LOT of attention to detail in this machine, including the crazy wavy grill, which is amazing to look at close up. ANYWHO, the interior did not disappoint, it was beautiful and comfortable, but as far as an SUV goes, for the size of it, it was pretty small on the inside, and the trunk wasn't really HUGE .. but still, amazing car.

Honorable mentions go out to the BMW 1 series, which really surprised me as being both comfortable and asthetically pleasing on the inside and out .. and although it looks like a smashed 3 seriers, I've begun to grow rather fond of it.

The Benzes were a bit out of control, and we wern't allowed to touch any of the Astons, ferraris, lambos, etc.

In all, it was both fun and informative .. the G37 is definatly on the top of my list.

ANYWHO, we're getting a new apartment soon in 日本町 .. Really nice luxury building .. workout room, lap pool, sauna, hot tub, etc. It should be great .. especially if it comes with another HD TV.

Anywho .. it has come to my attention that the few remaining arcades in existance are selling their machines .. The tilt in the metreon is selling everything they have .. but for out of control prices of course. I was informed though, that there is an arcade not too far from here that is selling virtua on for as low as 200 bucks, and SVC Chaos for 500. This is not 100% confirmed, but would be an AMAZING deal if it were true, and if I had space, I would totally get BOTH .. and maybe a few more, because I love virtua on, and 200 bucks is the deal of a lifetime. I know at least one other person who is interested, and might get it, which means .. some serious virtua on may be in order in the near future.


Anyone else wanna go in on an arcade machine? got the space? this could be awesome.

Why a MGS4 Movie should exist.

Forget surprises, forget new stories, just make a live action version of MGS4 I can watch on the big screen. It was the culmination of the entire Metal Gear Series, and with the right amount of flash back scenes, would make a great standalone movie. Of course, it would have to be about 10 hours long, which I don't think I would mind watching in a single sitting.

ANYWHO, my main argument is that, this movie could have a great cast, and no, I'm not talking about David Hayter (although maybe he could write the thing), I'm talking Sean Connery and Harrison Ford.

Thats right, I said it !!

And I know they're both old now, but that is my whole point !! It would be a MGS4 movie !! Flash backs of other games could use other less important people, and maybe be heavily filtered .. but the main character would be Sean Connery as Old Snake!

Best Man.

So, one week ago, I was the best man at my friend's wedding. I must say, it was a pretty awesome wedding. I had a ton of fun.

Anywho, the pics are starting to show up now. The first bunch are posted up somewhere on the internet. There were like 3 or 4 people taking pics, so there should be like a million on their way still.

So far, the biggest fan favorite is the infamous Ginyuu Tokusentai pic we took at the altar in the church.


There are several different versions of this pic, a few of which I am still yet to see. I think this one is pretty damn good though.

So I was in the library studying, listening to some totally sweet Maroon 5, when suddenly and without (20%) warning, my iPhone's battery died. It was odd, because it had claimed to have full battery the entire time I was at the library, which obviously could not have been true since I had been using it all day.

Usually my phone will tell me when it's battery is dieing. I feel like we've already encountered a communication barrier in our relationship. Come on iPhone, if you can't articulate your feelings with me, then we're gonna have problems.

So hopefully this was just a one time thing, I don't want to have to send my iPhone to therapy, or get it some kind of anxiety medication. I don't think my insurance will cover it.

Speaking of insurance, mine is about to run out in a few months, so I better get all my doctor visits in while I can. Even though I can't stand going to any type of doctor, I really gotta get my (Mom's) money's worth.

In other news, I'm pretty run down from the events of the past week. I'm way behind in school work, but I'm starting to catch back up, thanks to Red Bull. I've found myself getting back into drinking energy drinks, which I know is a terrible habit, but I havn't had time to go to the gym (which usually gets my brain going), so I've had to resort to my old addiction. Unfortunatly I can no longer find anyone who sells Dark Dog ("It's Good for You!"*), so instead I just drink twice as much Red Bull. It gets the job done, but it totally tears my stomach apart.

So, if you have not yet heard. I got an iPhone (3G) about a week ago. New phone, new service and new number. If you need/want my new number, lemme know.

Anywho, I love my new phone. It has changed my life.

Also, this is technically the first iPod I have ever owned. Kinda crazy .. I guess I have finally caved.

I guess this means I am over my phobia of iPods .. Although, I am still a bit suspicious that some day all the worlds iPods will come to life, and attach themselves to our heads to control our minds so that Steve Jobs can take over the world.

Oh well .. I guess we just have to accept our fate.

Pandemic Part 2.

So today was part 2 of the South Park Pandemic episode .. Guinea pigs dressed in adorable outfits attacked South Park. It was the greatest episode EVARRR !! If you know me at all, you SHOULD know that I love Guinea Pigs ..

I'm glad no Guinea Pigs were harmed in the episode, but I found it kinda strange that the Peruvian flue music drove the Guinea Pigs away .. cuz Genji and my pigs loved the music.

Genji thought it was hilarious, and now I need to get him and the other pigs costumes for Halloween.

Fly Trap.

So I made this today while I was helping out in Flash Class.

Took like 20 minutes or so.
It was a good exercise. kinda makes me want to make something awesome on flash. If only I had the time.

Anywho, if you have not yet seen the most recent episode of South Park, I highly recommend that you do. It was hilarious .. and "La Muerte Peluda" may leave you "startled". I won't spoil it for you, just know that I found it particularly funny.

Disappointing MGS4 Lauch Event

So, I went to the MGS4 launch event today. I waited in line for over 4 hours only to be denied when I was finally near the front of the line. This seriously sucked, considering I got there so many hours early, and they kicked everyone out half an hour before the event was scheduled to end.

I was planning on getting my game signed, as well as a calorie mate box.

I noticed that very few people there had actually played much of the game, and several had just gotten it this morning. Some Japanese guys were going around interviewing people, and nobody they interviewed had anything very interesting to say .. this is when I intervened.

They were interviewing the guy behind me .. he was really boring and talking about how much he liked covert ops .. so when they were finishing up, I chimed in and told them "I actually beat the game already." and after a few seconds of deliberation in japanese between them, they turned back to me said "We want to interview you!", so they did.

First they asked me how much time I spent playing the game, and I told them "17 and a half hours over the past two days."

Then they asked me what I thought about it, and I told them that I liked how it incorporated aspects from all the metal gear games in this one ..

Then they asked me if I had any messages for Kojima and I said "SIGN MY STUFF !!" and whipped out my copy of MGS4 and a box of Calorie Mates ..

TOO BAD I DIDN'T GET THEM SIGNED !! I mean seriously .. WTF .. I didn't even get a damn dogtag.

I'm seriously disappointed .. I waited all that time, I devoted the past two days to that game, and totally DOMINATED it.

I think I deserved to get my game signed.

After it was over i stuck around for a little while .. The guys that interviewed me saw me in the window and pointed, then talked to the security guys, but I couldn't get in.

As a last resort, I waited till Kojima walked by, and put my calorie mate and MGS4 box up to the window .. he saw the calorie mate, pointed at it, and laughed, so at least I got that.

I'm still pissed that I didn't get a damn signature on my game after I waited so long .. total bull.

I might go to AX and see if David Hayter will sign it .. maybe .. maybe not.

MGS4: Done

It is official. It took me 17 hours 34 minutes and 12 seconds over the past two days, but I did it. I got, and beat MGS4. This means I can watch the bonus disk now !! All right !!

In the morning I'm going to the official launch event at the Metreon and get Kojima to sign my game !!

I guess I'll start it on hard now .. just for kicks .. maybe a lil MGO ..

Don't worry, I wont ruin the end for you .. unless you want me to.

Ice Cream Fork.

You ever notice ..

Even though it seems like a dumb idea to eat ice cream with a fork, the fork somehow makes it taste better?

That is to say .. "Ice cream tastes better if you use a fork to eat it."

Surely someone will back me up on this one. Maybe we should conduct a case study, run a few experiments and delve deeper into the psychological effects of spoons vs. forks.

Would a spork be somewhere in the middle? Or would the spork be superior to all?

There is only one way to find out. I'll be sure to share my findings.

Finals.

So I gave my presentation today on Transformers, Gundam and Power Rangers, I think it went pretty well.


I found out thought, that the take home portion of my final in that class is due on wed, as is my flash final, of which I am very far behind in. So .. Looks like I have a couple buys nights ahead of me.

Crisis Core: YTMND

Evisu Genes with the Bathing Apes.

So tomorrow, Nikki and I get back from New York tomorrow, but I think we had a successful trip to Manhattan. We spent most of our time shopping, eating and walking, but we came out with a pretty good haul.

I got these Evisu "Genes"from Century 21, which was awesome, but a total madhouse.

Also got these Evisu "Shoos".


I got a few other things at Century 21, including a Valentino scarf, and an Akademiks belt ..

.. But the highlight for me was our trip to the BAPE Store (The only real BAPE store in the United States) where Nikki bought me a REAL pair of BAPE Sta shoes.


I think they're pretty damn clean. I was gonna get some more stuff at the BAPE Store, but it was expensive and I was low on cash.

We also stopped by the Ice Cream and Billionaire Boy's Club store .. and BBC made BAPE look affordable .. 500 dollar T-Shirts ..

We might stop by tomorrow morning for one last splurge before we go head back to SF .. We'll see.

How annoying.

I think it's really annoying when someone sits right next to me while I'm working, especially when there are like a million empty seats .. why do you have to pick the one right next to me ?? I'm already closed in desk, now you're blocking my only exit !! WTF .. claustrophobia kicking in .. not to mention I hate people looking over my shoulder .. it's annoying .. and rude.

Oh great .. now you're gonna play your damn music super loud in your headphones .. ?? You suck.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.


So I recently got GT5Prologue (Actually .. about a week or two ago) and I must say that it is not only a huge improvement over previous GT games, but it is quite possibly the greatest racing game/driving simulator ever made .. AND IT'S NOT EVEN A COMPLETE GAME !!

It has somewhere around 40 or 60 cars to choose from and unlock .. but it's not like I'm going to CHOOSE to use the Daihatsu OFC-01. No, after completing the crappy race, I quickly graduated to real cars. My current roster of cars that I actually use consists of simply the Nissan R35 GTR and the Ferrari 599, I had a 350z for a while, but the GTR is much more satisfying.


The somewhat disappointing points in this game are that, yes, it's incomplete, there are a few tracks, but nowhere near as many as GT4, and there are a few cars, but NOWHERE near as many as GT4. There is also no major car customization, just paint, tires, transmission and assist/TC.

Regardless, the game is AMAZING !! The graphics are like nothing I've ever seen before (especially in HD) and the engine is extremely impressive. It's surprisingly not hard to drive, unlike previous Gran Turismo games.

I haven't yet tried playing online, but I'm not so great at the game so I don't really want to get my ass kicked. The mission mode is good enough for now, earning money from winning races and buying cars.

One of my favorite features in this game is the driver's POV. You can actually see your driver's hands and the interior of the car. It's very impressive, but I think it would be better if I had a steering wheel.

Then details in this game are incredible, and I just can't get over how realistic everything looks. from the outside view of your car, you can actually see whats behind you in your side mirrors. you can even see details of the backgrounds through the reflection of your paint.

Another detail I noticed is the crowd has it's own unique behaviors. Some people in the crowd will take pictures of you, but they'll wait till you're close enough. If you get too close though, the people in the crowd will flinch, or even duck for cover.

I also got a white Dual Shock 3 to go with the game, and it's great too !! But more about that later.

Even though it is an unfinished game, GT5Prologue without a doubt gets a perfect score in my book, which means the final product GT5 would have to get some kind of score that is absolutely immeasurable.

This puts other racing games to shame.

Class Time.

I've been sitting in this classroom for the past 2 hours, with 1 more hour left to go. The lecture is boring and the room is stuffy. I haven't been paying attention much, but it doesn't matter because it's not like it's anything I haven't heard before. My back hurts from this chair and I'm hungry.

I haven't written a blog in a while and I thought it was about time. A lot of stuff has happened since my last post, but I guess I've just been too distracted by my AWESOME NEW HD TV .. !! Upgraded my cable and everything.

Anywho, my birthday is on Saturday and Karaoke is the plan. If you want to come, drop me a line and maybe you can. I think we'll probably go somewhere else for food beforehand, and of course we'll bring drinks to the Karaoke place for good measure. Although I am looking forward to 1600 cc OB Beers.

In other news, I think I want to drop my Japanese class. I think my teacher hates me, and I can take Moriguchi (who does not hate me) next semester probably. But I dono .. Might stick with it.

I'm really glad I took up the Flash class .. It's gotten me really excited and motivated to make some awesome stuff !! I've done some cool doodles and made a few things over the last few weeks .. maybe 'll post it up here soon.

George and I finally beat Pixel Junk, but we didn't unlock everything yet, and also Warhawk is awesome and I think everyone should play it.

This class is driving me insane, I'm getting super antsy being in this tiny room with 40 other people and I want it to hurry up and end. I can't think of much else to write because my brain is beginning to boil.
